Overview
The Camden City Youth Services Commission, a division of the Camden
Center for Youth Development, Inc., is a partnership
of youth-serving groups and organizations seeking to
make a difference in the lives of Camden City children,
youth and families. Staff and volunteers from Camden
City youth-serving organizations partner with the CCYSC,
Inc. as members of a city-wide collaborative on behalf
of Camden children, youth and families.
The Camden Center
for Youth Development, Inc. Core Standards for
Youth Programs and Services is just one component of an
overall strategy to impact and improve the safety, well-being,
and advancement of ALL Camden City children, youth
and families. The vision for this process is embodied in
the CCYSC, Inc. Five-Year
Strategic Plan, “The Future is Bright for Children, Youth,
and Families in Camden: A Blueprint for Change.” This
plan was completed October 2003 by the Camden City
Youth Services Commission, Inc. It covers the period
beginning January 2004 and ending December 2009.
The CCYSC, Inc. Five-Year Strategic Plan provides a data driven,
research based model as a tool for considering solutions
to the ways that programs and services are provided to children,
youth and families in Camden. This Core Standards document
is one of the important steps in this strategy, which will
help to improve the coordination, capacity, and quality
of youth programs and services delivered in the city.
